The Lazy E-L Ranch Guest Adventures and Activities

The Lazy E-L Ranch is the type of Montana dude ranch that offers horseback riding vacations, real cattle drives, fly fishing, hunting, rope a dummy calf, hiking, mountain bike riding... along with giving you the comfort and privacy you would want from a personal or family vacation.

Just bring a wide-brimmed hat, boots, and a hearty sense of adventure.

The Lazy E-L Ranch only book one or two groups at a time and we treat all of our guests like family. You won't find twenty-five-person horseback riding trails or cattle drives, instead you will find friendly people operating a real cattle ranch, in the beautiful Montana mountain setting.

If breathing in the nostalgia of the west is the only workout you want, relax, put your boots up, and leave the work to us.

Be part of a real Montana cattle drive by helping us gather and move 2300 yearlings from one pasture to the next, finding strays and sorting off bulls. You will find this to be one of the most rewarding and exciting experiences we share with our guests.

Once you are up and horseback riding, you can come along as we wrangle horses, doctor calves, ship heifers, and perform daily ranch chores.

If you like to go fly fishing, there is trout fishing with five miles of private access to the West Rosebud River through the Lazy E-L Ranch.

Elk and deer hunting at the E-L is familiar territory to a herd of over 200 elk  and endless mule and whitetail deer.

Dining at the Lazy E-L Ranch. You'll enjoy the taste of home-cooking before starting your morning or retiring to bed after a great day at the Lazy E-L.

We provide comfortable accommodations in historic cabins, your own horse, tack, wrangler and meals for your week-long stay.

Many of us here at the Lazy E-L have traveled to various parts of the world, but we all agree that the most beautiful place is right here, in our backyard.
