As mentioned, the Lazy E-L Ranch is not your typical dude ranch or resort.
For your comfort and privacy, we book just one or two
groups at a time and we treat them like our family. What a great family vacation spot or retreat. You
won't find twenty-five-person trail rides, string
quartets, or wine tasting. You will find friendly people
operating a real cattle ranch in a beautiful mountain
setting. As a guest ranch, we provide comfortable
accommodations in historic cabins, your own horse, tack,
wrangler and meals for your week-long stay. Just bring a
wide-brimmed hat, boots, and a hearty sense of
adventure.
Once you are up and horseback riding, you're welcome to come
along as we wrangle horses, doctor calves, ship heifers,
and perform daily ranch chores. At night, you'll enjoy
the taste of home-cooking before retiring to bed. If
breathing in the nostalgia of the west is the only
workout you want, relax, put your boots up, and leave
the work to us. The Lazy E-L offers spectacular hikes,
fishing, and acres of peace and quiet in which to read a
good book. We're also close to Yellowstone National Park
and Red Lodge, a small community with shops and fine
restaurants, and two spectacular rivers to trout fish or
float.
Many of us here at the Lazy E-L have traveled to
various parts of the world, but we all agree that the
most beautiful place is right here, in our backyard.
