| The Lazy E-L has a variety of things to do in the surrounding areas of the ranch. Including: |
| Yellowstone Park |
Although the East Gate into Yellowstone Park is only 1.5 hours away in Cody, WY, coming to the Lazy E-L means that you get all the natural beauty of Yellowstone without the ridiculous crowds that flood the park every summer. All the wildlife, except the Buffalo, have taken up residence on the ranch and since the reintroduction of the wolf the Lazy E-L hosted the only wolf den that existed on private land. Nearby Paradise Valley was not named on a whim and the scenery of the greater Yellowstone area is the inside secret that all the locals keep to themselves. At the E-L, we let you in on the secret and give you the horses necessary to explore it.

| Beartooth Pass |
The Beartooth Mountains boast some of the highest elevations in the lower 48 states, and have 20 peaks over 12,000 feet in elevation. Glaciers are abundant in the Beartooths and can be found on the north face on almost every mountain peak over 11,500 feet. Hundreds of lakes, forests, and an eclectic array of wildlife such as grizzly bears, elk, bison, mountain goats, marmots, and mule deer can be found in the 900,000 acres that make up the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness.

| Red Lodge |
A great afternoon outing is to the nearby town of Red Lodge. When coal was mined here, Red Lodge was a hive of activity. Now it is fueled by tourism during the summer and skiers during the winter. The downtown area has lost little of its historic vibe and it is a great avenue for strolling, shopping, and dining.

| Cody, Wyoming |
Cody is located at the western edge of the Bighorn Basin, a depression surrounded by the Big Horn, Owl Creek, Bridger, and Absaroka ranges. At its mouth and rising above Cody are Rattlesnake Mountain on the north side and Cedar Mountain on the south side.
Cody Night Rodeo: This is a nightly occurrence in Cody that attracts tourists and cowboys alike. Staff often attend and it is not uncommon to find some of the staff competing in one or two of the events. Rodeo is a competitive by-product of ranch life and anyone who has never been to one should certainly pencil this into their itinerary. |

| Fly Fishing |
Yes, “A River Runs Through It” was filmed in Southwest Montana and, yes, that does mean that we really do have some of the best fishing in the world. There are no shortage of outfitters to take any fishing enthusiast out for a day on the river. If you prefer just casting a lure then the crew will pack up head out to Shorey Cabin for an evening of fishing, campfires, and s’mores. Most of the crew are also fond of fishing and would be thrilled to take off their work gloves and pick up a fishing rod.

| Adventure Whitewater Rafting |
Sometimes the only cure for the heat of the open range is to go plunging into the rapids of the nearby Stillwater River. If you are game for it, Adventure Whitewater offers whitewater rafting trips that many guests on the E-L opt to spend one of their afternoons participating in. Catch a glimpse of the eagles that frequent the river and enjoy “riding the bull” (assuming the bow of the raft) down a clear Montana trout stream. If you are interested we can pre-book rafting trips for a separate fee.
